Disability Support Worker
About the role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be pivotal in empowering individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives, be valued, and respected within their community. Your role will involve delivering a variety of services to help clients actively participate in their local community, engage in meaningful activities, and develop strong relationships. Responsibilities
- Encourage clients to maintain an active lifestyle and engage with their community by delivering tailored, personalised support.
- Provide assistance with personal care and hygiene to support clients' daily needs.
- Maintain accurate progress notes and ensure thorough record-keeping.
- Implement care plan and positive behavior strategies in alignment with behavior support plans.
Mandatory Requirements
- Completed Cert III in Disability or Ageing or other related disciplines
- At least 6 months experience in disability and aged care sector
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- NDIS Worker Check
- Current Australian drivers licence or Right to drive in Australia
- Comprehensive Car Insurance
